Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to an Accessible and Inclusive Website Experience

Effective Date: July 14, 2026
Last Updated: July 14, 2026

Harbur Realty is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities.

We believe everyone should be able to access information about our real estate services, property listings, senior-transition resources, educational materials, events, books, and other online offerings with dignity, independence, and substantially equivalent ease of use.

Our Accessibility Goal

Harbur Realty is working to make its website and online services accessible and usable for people with a broad range of abilities, technologies, and methods of interaction.

As a general accessibility goal, we aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, Level AA, commonly referred to as WCAG 2.2 AA, where reasonably applicable to the website.

These guidelines address accessibility for people with disabilities that may affect vision, hearing, mobility, speech, cognition, learning, language, or neurological processing.

Our reference to WCAG 2.2 AA describes an ongoing accessibility goal. It should not be interpreted as a representation that every page, feature, file, or third-party service has been independently audited or formally certified as fully conforming.

Our Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time project. Harbur Realty may periodically review, test, revise, and improve the website as content, technologies, standards, and visitor needs evolve.

Our accessibility efforts may include:

  • Using clear and consistent page structures
  • Organizing content with meaningful headings
  • Supporting keyboard-based navigation
  • Providing descriptive alternative text for meaningful images
  • Maintaining readable text and sufficient color contrast
  • Using descriptive labels for links, buttons, and form fields
  • Providing visible keyboard-focus indicators
  • Avoiding unnecessary flashing or rapidly moving content
  • Supporting browser zoom and text enlargement
  • Providing captions, transcripts, or other alternatives for multimedia when reasonably available
  • Identifying and correcting accessibility barriers discovered through testing or visitor feedback
  • Considering accessibility when adding new pages, content, forms, documents, and features
  • Working with website vendors and service providers to encourage accessible experiences

Because accessibility standards, assistive technologies, browsers, and third-party services continue to evolve, we cannot guarantee that every visitor will experience every part of the website in exactly the same way.

Assistive Technologies and Browser Compatibility

The Harbur Realty website is intended to work with commonly used web browsers, operating systems, mobile devices, and assistive technologies.

Accessibility may be affected by the particular combination of:

  • Browser
  • Operating system
  • Device
  • Screen reader
  • Voice-recognition software
  • Magnification software
  • Browser extensions
  • Accessibility settings
  • Other assistive technology

For the best experience, visitors should use a current version of their preferred browser and keep assistive technology reasonably up to date when possible.

Harbur Realty does not control the accessibility or compatibility of every browser, device, extension, or assistive technology.

Property Listings and Third-Party Tools

The website may include property listings, IDX or MLS search tools, home-valuation tools, maps, videos, appointment schedulers, event-registration systems, payment services, e-commerce features, forms, spam-prevention tools, and other content or functionality supplied by third parties.

Harbur Realty may not control the code, design, accessibility, update schedule, or technical operation of these third-party services.

Although we encourage our providers to offer accessible experiences, some third-party content or functionality may not fully meet our accessibility goals.

Examples may include:

  • IDX or MLS property-search interfaces
  • Property photographs and listing descriptions supplied by other brokers
  • Home-valuation platforms
  • Google Maps
  • YouTube videos or video players
  • Appointment-scheduling systems
  • Workshop and event-registration platforms
  • Payment and e-commerce systems
  • CAPTCHA or spam-prevention tools
  • Social media content
  • Linked websites
  • Third-party documents or downloadable files

When we become aware of an accessibility problem involving a third-party service, we may report it to the provider, seek a reasonable workaround, provide information in another format, or evaluate alternative services when practical.

Harbur Realty is not responsible for the accessibility practices of websites or services that we do not own or control.

Property Photographs, Maps, and Visual Information

Real estate websites often contain photographs, maps, floor plans, charts, illustrations, virtual tours, and other visual materials.

Harbur Realty works to provide useful text alternatives for meaningful visual content when reasonably possible. However, some listing photographs, maps, virtual tours, and property information may be supplied by third parties and may not include complete accessibility descriptions.

Visitors who need assistance understanding visual information about a property may contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to provide available property information in another format or connect the visitor with an agent who can assist.

Videos and Multimedia

We aim to provide captions, transcripts, descriptive text, or another accessible alternative for prerecorded multimedia created or controlled by Harbur Realty when reasonably practical.

Some older videos, live events, embedded media, or third-party videos may not include captions, transcripts, audio descriptions, or other accessibility features.

Visitors who encounter inaccessible multimedia may contact us to request assistance or an alternative means of accessing the information.

Downloadable Documents

The website may provide books, ebooks, neighborhood guides, checklists, worksheets, brochures, forms, event materials, and other downloadable documents.

We aim to improve the accessibility of downloadable materials that Harbur Realty creates or controls. However, some older files, archived materials, scans, or documents supplied by third parties may not be fully compatible with screen readers or other assistive technologies.

If you have difficulty accessing a document, contact us and identify the material you need. We will make reasonable efforts to provide the information in an alternative format.

Alternative Access to Information and Services

An accessibility barrier should not prevent you from requesting information or communicating with Harbur Realty.

If you cannot access a property listing, form, downloadable resource, event-registration feature, book-ordering page, or other website content, please contact us. Depending on the request and the information available, we may be able to assist by:

  • Providing information by email
  • Discussing the information by telephone
  • Helping locate or describe a property listing
  • Assisting with an appointment or event registration
  • Providing a document in another format
  • Connecting you with a Harbur Realty agent or affiliated Realtor
  • Offering another reasonable method of accessing the requested service

Alternative access is provided as a supplement to, and not a substitute for, our continuing efforts to improve the accessibility of the website itself.

Accessibility Feedback

We welcome feedback from visitors who experience difficulty using the Harbur Realty website.

When reporting an accessibility issue, please include as much of the following information as you can:

  • The webpage address or name of the affected page
  • The feature, form, document, listing, image, video, or content involved
  • A brief description of the problem
  • The browser and device you were using
  • The assistive technology you were using, if applicable
  • Your preferred method of receiving a response
  • The format or accommodation that would help you access the information

You are not required to disclose the nature of a disability or provide medical information when requesting accessibility assistance.

Accessibility feedback may be submitted to:

Harbur Realty
Email: rsharbur@gmail.com

Please use “Website Accessibility” as the subject line when possible.

We will review accessibility reports in good faith and make reasonable efforts to respond appropriately. The time and method needed to address an issue may depend on its nature, technical complexity, the availability of an accessible alternative, and whether a third-party provider controls the affected feature.

No Retaliation

Harbur Realty will not intentionally deny real estate services or otherwise retaliate against a person because the person requested accessibility assistance, identified an accessibility barrier, or provided accessibility feedback.

Accessibility Is a Shared Process

No single accessibility method, automated overlay, testing tool, standard, or technical solution can ensure that every website experience will meet the needs of every person.

Automated testing may help identify certain issues, but it may not identify every barrier. Human review, assistive-technology testing, ongoing maintenance, and visitor feedback can also play important roles in improving accessibility.

Harbur Realty remains committed to considering accessibility as the website changes and to addressing known barriers when reasonably possible.

Changes to This Accessibility Statement

We may update this Accessibility Statement periodically to reflect changes in our website, accessibility efforts, technologies, service providers, or applicable guidance.

Revisions will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
